Beauty Bible Loves... Maria Nila Head & Hair Heal x Liberty haircare

Why shouldn’t haircare look lovely in the shower caddy, as well as being effective? Certainly, if you’re a fan of Liberty prints (we have been, since we first discovered this magical emporium during our teens), this duo offers a good excuse to give Maria Nila’s haircare a spin.

This particular offering from the Scandi luxury haircare brand is the perfect post-summer treat. (The clue’s in the name: Head & Hair Heal.) Ideal for coloured and processed hair, it also features ingredients that tackle dandruff and scalp problems, while seeking to stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss. Ingredients include vitamin E, aloe vera peptides. And oh, WHAT a lovely scent: floral (rather like the fabrics), with linden blossom, white jasmine and galbanum, a gloriously green note that adds a leafiness.

Who is Maria Nila, we hear some of you ask? There’s a great, entrepreneurial back story: Maria Nila began in a garage in southern Sweden, where Ann and Ulf WikstrΓΆm created a makeshift lab and began making high-performance haircare (and named the range after Ann's great-grandmother, Maria Nila, a SΓ‘mi woman β€˜whose values emphasised respect for nature, animals, and community.’ (The world needs women like Maria Nila.)

As well as being vegan, cruelty-free certified, sulphate- and paraben free, Maria Nila is a B Corp, also running a special charity initiative each year on World Vegan Day (upcoming on 1st November, which is upcoming), to partner with environmental and wildlife charities.

Working to heal the planet, then, as well as our hair and scalp. And in this case, doing it so very prettily.
