Beauty Bible Loves... LARO Naturally Whitening Toothpaste

Posh toothpastes are A Thing. But this particular one is more than a triumph of form over function. It might look good, in its shiny cream aluminium tube – but Laro claim to combine ‘pharmaceutical-grade science, with potent natural ingredients and sustainable business practices.’

So: everything is free from sulphates, fluoride and comes in zero plastic packaging.

Jo got the Laro Naturally Whitening Toothpaste in (wait for it) her CEW Beauty Demo Evening goodie bag. (If you read these posts regularly, you’ll know that it was quite the swag!) And she’s been using it ever since, for the sheer sensorial pleasure of the toothpaste, which is lightly scented with bergamot, wild mint and lemon. Ingredients have been chosen to whiten – definitely the case – and to re-mineralise (we can report back on that after Jo’s dental check-up on Monday!) The ingredients are all-natural, and avoid SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) – they have an interesting blog post about why that’s important, here.

The aluminium tube means that every last atom will eventually be squeezed out – unlike plastic tubes, which we often have to slice the end off to extract the last of the product.

This female-founded brand also offers a mouthwash and a (beautiful) toothbrush, which we haven’t tried yet. (With a background in law, banking and business, founder Beth Booker apparently saw a gap in the tooth market for premium, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing oral care options.

And Laro – which we’ve just realised, duh, is an anagram of ‘oral’ – is, if you’ll pardon the phrase, filling it beautifully.
