Fab Find of the Week: Jo Malone London Charity Candles 2022

We do love a scented candle. (Sales boomed during lockdown, BTW.) But we love a scented candle even more, if that’s possible, when it helps to boost the fortunes of a good cause.

Jo Malone London do that really well. None of your ‘£1 from every sale, etc., etc.’ stuff: a hefty 75% of the sale price (less VAT) of their much-loved Charity Candles go to the supported charities. 2022’s has just been unveiled: Elderflower & Gooseberry Charity Candle, which continues their work supporting those with mental health problems, setting out to empower people to recover, reconnect and grow.

The new limited edition Elderflower & Gooseberry Charity Candle smells gorgeous while it’s doing good: soft, floral, hedgerow-y wafts of elderflower buds, combined with tart, summer-green gooseberries and the scent of hawthorn – doesn’t get more spring-perfect than that.

The candle joins a line-up that includes Iris & Lady Moore, Peony & Moss, Lily of the Valley & Ivy and White Lilac & Rhubarb.

For the first time, Jo Malone London are partnering with Black Minds Matter, to help connect Black individuals with free mental health services, funding courses of therapy with certified professional Black practitioners, for those who require support.
