Beauty Bible Loves... ISO Clean Carbon Brush Soap
We’ve championed various products from ISOCLEAN’s line-up before – and make no apology for returning to a subject that’s w-a-y less glamorous than a new lipstick, but arguably rather more imporant: cleaning your make-up brushes.
The pros take this really seriously. Charlotte Tilbury’s advice is to deep-clean brushes at least weekly, washing those used for liquid make-up after every usem to get rid of skin oils, old foundation and yesterday’s blusher. (We’re not sure any non-professional is ever going to be that diligent, but it’s an interesting perspective from someone who knows her make-up stuff better than almost anyone.)
Enter ISOCLEAN Carbon Brush Soap, a solid cleanser formulated with activated carbon to help lift stubborn make-up build-up. What we really love about this isn’t just the easy-to-use soap format, but the accompanying scrubbing mat, to help work the lather through the bristles. It’s this easy: wet the brush, swirl over the soap, work gently against the mat, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Squeeze out excess moisture and leave flat to dry, keeping water away from the handle.
Not the sexiest beauty ritual, admittedly – but clean skin calls for clean tools. (At least weekly.)
