Heinrich Barth Face & Body Lotion

One of 2020’s trends is ‘less is more’. In skincare terms, it’s about ‘skin-plification’ – a phrase we’ve used before, but you’re going to hear more about. It translates as: products which answer several beauty needs, in an effective, no-nonsense way.

Multi-tasking balms definitely fall under this category, but here’s another: a really functional, skin-quenching and unisex moisturiser that is fragrance-free, paraben-free, but just jolly nicely moisturising, in our opinion. That’s it. No bells and whistles; just moisture and comfort and good-skin things like shea butter, aloe vera, argan, olive and rosehip extract, plus some nicely plumping hyaluronic acid.

It’s from a brand manufactured in Italy but available here via Wolf & Badger.) Heinrich Barth, so we’re told, gets its name from one of the great travellers and explorers of the 19th Century. In the spirit of this adventurous globetrotter, they are ‘designed for a traveller who wants to feel comfortable in his/her environment without leaving a trace.’

Or who just wants something hype-free and effective, so they can get on with life.
