Our love affair with Fresh is longstanding, ever since we met the founders Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg right at the dawn of their brand, at the beginning of the 90s. A very soft spot is still held for Fresh, and the clever duo who began their business in New York, and remain involved even though it now sits within the LVMH empire.
We spritzed their fragrances, back in the day. Swooned over their soaps. We’ve slicked their lip treats. And very often, we’ve reached for this range – Fresh Black Tea – for a skin quick-fix.
This is the swift-acting a.m. counterpart to another great product in this particular range, with its fresh tea scent, and which was one of the first ‘sleeping masks’ we ever used: Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask. It’s ridden to the rescue a couple of times lately after slightly disturbed nights, which have left skin looking less than radiant.
Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask definitely does what it says on the (white glass) jar – maybe not instantly, but within five to 10 minutes, which is quick enough for us, for sure. That’s down to a mix of brightening ingredients: tea (rich in antioxidants), kombucha (fermented black tea), lychee seed and blackberry leaf. To be honest, first time of application the texture of this super-airy mask felt a little strange – it’s almost grainy – but it becomes addictive.
As are the results… Restored glow. Plumped skin. The illusion that you’ve had more sleep than you really have.
