Beauty Bible Loves... The Perfume Society Fabulous Fragrances box + The Scented Letter
You may remember that for a l-o-n-g time, Jo co-ran The Perfume Society with Lorna McKay. Nowadays, she edits the Society’s magazine, The Scented Letter – more of which below – and Lorna is at the helm of The Perfume Society, so the discovery boxes for which they’re famed now always come as a rather nice surprise.
Especially this one – partly because of the (appropriately) fabulous design of the box, but also (most importantly) because of the contents, all in bottles perfectly sized to slip into even the teeniest party clutch bag.

Adscenture Holographic (2ml EDP) – first sniff of an exciting new brand, a floral-musky fusion of magnolia, jasmine, rose, cedarwood, with a sea breeze drifting through.
Creed Carmina (1.7ml (EDP) – the very latest from this elite fragrance house.
EAU.MG Flor Funk (2ml) – think violet leaf, pear, orange flower, musk and moss, lingering on the skin.
Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 + Black Tea (2ml EDT) – one of our favourites in the box, with the fabled fragrance note Iso E Super given a fresh flash of black tea and maté absolute.
Goldfield & Banks Ingenious Ginger (2ml EDP) – another fave, which is so uplifting, offering white florals spiced by ginger and warmed by amber. Nose-tinglingly good.
Lancôme Idôle (1.2ml EDP) – haven’t tried this modern classic yet? Here’s your chance.
MALIN + GOETZ Strawberry (.75ml EDP) – a ‘reimagined’ strawberry, fresh and genderless, like a shaft of sunlight on a winter’s day.
Parfums de Marly Althair (1.5ml EDP) – a very recently-launched upscale fragrance from a really interesting Parisian perfume house, woody and vanilla-y and altogether GORGEOUS.
Pictor Parfums Flash (2ml EDP) – another brand new brand, inspired by the language of photography, proffered here in floral-fruity form.
Penhaligon’s Quercus Body & Hand Wash and Body & Hand Lotion (30ml sizes of each). Supposedly masculine, but we love this oaky, citrusy, herbal scent, in gentle-on-skin formulations.
