Eve Lom Cleansing Oil Capsules

While we’re not quite as extreme as those hikers who saw off half their toothbrush to save weight in a rucksack, we’re definitely less keen on carrying too much beauty luggage. (Is it a post-lockdown thing? Suddenly that suitcase seems awful heavy, when we go places…)

So here’s a nifty idea: Cleansing Oil Capsules, from the brand founded by the original superfacialist, our old friend Eve Lom. A science-meets-nature blend that includes (on the botanical side) grapeseed and crambe Abyssinia oils, hop extract, Egyptian chamomile, eucalyptus and clove essential oils, one capsule contains just enough for a truly perfect cleanse. (When used in tandem with a muslin cloth – as pioneered by Eve, actually – or a fluffy flannel, and warm-to-hot water.) We like to use the opportunity of massaging skin deeply while they melt make-up marvellously, leaving skin velvet-soft.

They’re biodegradeable (throw them in the compost) – and importantly, they take up almost no room! If you’re worried about just chucking them in a sponge bag, one of those little mini MUJI plastic boxes (we keep vitamins in ours) is ideal, to protect them.

It’s the little things that make us happy. (In this case, literally.)
