The Perfume Society Dream Scents Discovery Box

Spring is springing (well, so we are promised, in the wake of Eunice and Franklin). And it is only natural that thoughts turn to new fragrances.

Well, it’s been a while since we featured here one of the Discovery Boxes from The Perfume Society – which was co-founded way-back-when by Beauty Bible’s Jo Fairley, with perfume expert Lorna McKay, and for which Jo still edits the magazine, The Scented Letter. (Amazingly, the only consumer-facing magazine about perfume IN THE WORLD! Thought you might enjoy a link to the Christmas issue, actually, here.)

Jo’s not part of the business any more, but the boxes (in our opinions) just go on getting better and better. We’ve always felt that scent samples are a great way to discover new fragrances; you need time, and to feel relaxed, and really to allow the scent to unfold and develop on the skin. And this is particularly fab, featuring several darling minis and some truly iconic scents, from famous names within the niche scent world – think: Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Juliette Has A Gun, Creed – as well as less-well-known brands Atelier Materi and Maison Crivelli.

Priced £27 (or £23 if you belong to The Perfume Society’s V.I.P. Club, details of which are here), the run-down of fragrances is as follows…

• Juliette Has A Gun Lipstick Fever (5ml eau de parfum)
Creed Spring Flower (2ml eau de parfum)
• Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Gold Edition (5ml eau de parfum)
• Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Silver Edition (5ml eau de parfum)
• Atelier Materi Cacao Porcelana (2ml eau de toilette)
Maison Crivelli Iris Malikhân (1.5ml eau de parfum)
• Maison Crivelli Rose Saltifolia (1.5ml eau de parfum)
• Maison Crivelli Santal Volcanique (5ml eau de parfum)

Just spritz, sit back – and dream awhile, of ‘new beginnings, far-flung destinations or finding new levels of confidence.’

Because, yes: perfume has the power to do all that, AND more.
