Rare Tea Company Lemon Blend Loose Infusion

Disclaimer: Henrietta Lovell, a.k.a. ‘The Rare Tea Lady’ – the founder of Rare Tea Company – is one of Jo’s dearest friends. But that’s not why we’re featuring this. It’s simply how it got to be on our radar, because a tin of this landed in Jo’s life as a present to her husband Craig at Christmas. And it most definitely won’t be the last tin of Lemon Blend to make its way into her tea cupboard.

A wonderfully uplifting blend of Sri Lankan and Malawian lemongrass, blended with lemon verbena, it’s just the ray of liquid sunshine needed on a dull winter’s day. (And in an equally sunny tin.)

If you’re in search of alternatives to caffeine, you’ll know that herbals teas so often disappoint – but this is just so flavoursome and fresh, with (somehow) notes of pine in there. Good as a digestif, it won’t keep you awake at night – but it’ll get your morning off to a vibrant start. Next best thing to a sprig from Jo’s own lemon verbena plant (actually now a tree), we’re finding it.

It’s also (hallelujah) available on Ocado – but if you source it via Henrietta’s website, do check out the other excellent non-caffeinated beverages (or indeed, caffeinated teas) available.

We think you’re bound to find something that’s just your cuppa.

£5.49 for 25g tin (refill pouch £4.99) – buy here
