Chanel Rouge Allure Camélia limited edition

Chanel Rouge Allure, how do we love thee…? Let us count the ways.

First, for the mega-dose of pigments which mean that the colour stays put for ages.

Second, the texture: lip-nourishing and comfortable.

Third: that incredibly clever design – you can’t find a way in until you press the end. If James Bond’s ‘Q’ had designed a lipstick, this is what it would be like to open. Though it might not have been quite so glamorous.

And now, as if that wasn’t enough, Rouge Allure comes in a special ‘Camelia’ edition, celebrating Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite flower.

You can explore eight limited edition shades of Rouge Allure and Rouge Allure Velvet (the slightly more matte version), in-store and online now – including a perfect red for everyone.

At the same time, Chanel are launching an expanded range of Le Crayon Lèvres, with lip pencils to match the Camélia limited ediiton shades – though we’re never convinced that anything other than a perfect nude lip pencil is a good idea, even if it has the name Chanel on it, so can we point you in the direction of Bois de Rose or Rose Naturel, as your best shades…?)

Just the bit of midwinter make-up cheer we all need right now. But be quick: they’re likely to be as fleeting as the real-life camellias brightening up the outdoors, right now. (And very welcome those are, too.)
