CHANEL Noir Allure Mascara

We’ve always been fascinated by the idea that there are specific departments at big beauty houses, devoted to ‘the click’. You know: that so-satisfying sound-slash-feeling, when you open a beauty product.

Chanel are, of course, the maestros, here. Sad creatures that we are, we have been known to open and close Allure lipsticks just for the sheer pleasure of the ‘click’ – and now that’s echoed in new Noir Allure mascara, in this case, using a technology that ensures the airtight tube remains perfectly sealed. Ergo, no drying out. (Not just a click; there’s also a bit of an equally satisfying ‘boing’, with this design!)

Smudge-proof, transfer-proof, flake-less, it also has our very favourite kind of grippy, slim, flexible wand. The mascara itself is also lash-conditioning, via three natural waxes: carnauba, rice and beeswax. And the inky black of the mascara has a subtle hint of red in it, imperceptible except that it makes the colour ultra-vibrant.
