Chanel Les Beiges Summer 2022
We were beyond excited to see this new Chanel Les Beiges collection in person, last week – because as with everything they do, it is simply a treat and a joy for the senses. It also gave us time to try the products out for ourselves – something we have so, so missed during the years (yes, it’s really years) of lockdown beauty launches and Zoom briefings – which of course you can do at your nearest Chanel counter. (Something we cannot recommend too highly.)
There are further exciting launches to come, but this just hit the counters at the exact moment when we cast off our winter clothing, and the make-up we’ve worn for months started to look – well, just not quite right, as the light angle and levels change.

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream/£43. Super-blendable, for an incredibly realistic-looking tan, this isn’t new – but there’s a new shade, Soleil Tan Medium Bronze. Utterly seamless to apply, this is an existing fave of Beauty Bible’s Georgia Wellard, who raved about it here…
Les Beiges Oversize Healthy Glow Sun-Kissed Powder/£66. An absolutely HUGE compact of their bestselling matte bronzer powder, and one of the best mirrors we’ve ever done our make-up in. (Many years ago – and we remember it well – Chanel pioneered mirrors where you can see your entire face in the compact, but we think this is their most generous yet.) For total indulgence – and also flawless application – you can also invest in the Les Beiges Oversize Kabuki Brush/£42.
Les Beiges Illuminating Oil/£70 for 250ml. Well, this is our shins and forearms sorted – and gilded – for summer 2022. An absolutely sublime dry oil, which can be used on the body but also skimmed very lightly through hair. Infused with teensy gold and copper particles, it’s super-flattering, shimmering in the sunlight.
Frankly, we feel we’re already on holiday…
