Beauty Bible Loves... BPerfect Full Impact concealer

This is a tricky time of year for foundation. The light’s shifting, the sun rising higher in the sky every day*, and that velvety-textured, matte look that got you through winter can look dry and dusty.

We tend to make the switch around now to a tinted moisturiser, with concealer to add a little extra coverage where required – red veins, dark circles, pigmentation – and this is a brilliant new contender, in that category, from a brand beloved by make-up artists (and consumers) since it was launched by Northern Ireland-based Brendan McDowell, in 2013. (BPerfect got an early investment boost after being on Ireland’s Dragon’s Den. Love that.)

First things first: congrats to BPerfect on the shade range for Full Impact Complete Coverage Concealer. Just look! If there isn’t a perfect match for everyone among the 26-shade line-up, we’ll be very surprised.

Secondly, the clue’s in the name: it’s called ‘Full Coverage’ – and it is. You could indeed use this through winter, for serious concealment of perceived ‘imperfections’ (and we deliberately use the word ‘perceived’, because often the things that bother us about our faces are effectively invisible to the however many billion other people on the planet). It’s particularly impressive on dark circles, and while not light-reflecting, it doesn’t look flat and dry, either. A little goes a long way, and this is going to last AEONS.

But it can also be dabbed lightly and blended judiciously over bare-but-moisturised skin, or tinted moisturiser, to even out skintone without having to go to the faff of applying foundation, and also small enough to slip into a handbag if you want a touch-up later on. (Don’t reckon you’ll need it, but still.) The texture is really skin-friendly, too – there are some skin-caring ingredients in there (glycerine and niacinamide).

Add to that a not-stupid price, and we can’t recommend too highly.
