Follow your dream is the mantra of Joanna Silva, the mother of two who founded Elan in 2017. With almost a decade of experience in the medical industry, specialising in wound care, infection prevention and specifically in skincare, she had a dream of combining science and natural ingredients to create a line of beautiful effective products.

We can tell you, hand on heart, it worked. This independent London-based brand has won a batch of Beauty Bible Awards, with three of them in this de-luscious prize bundle. And, yes, Joanna did call a capsule collection of skincare after her guiding principle…

A duo of Dream Overnight Renewal Face Serum (usually £55 for 20ml), paired with Dream Hyaluronic Acid Booster (£36 for 20ml), soared to a Gold and Best Natural Award in 2020, in the Miracle Treatment – Night category. The serum is rich in plant oils (so more of a facial oil consistency), including sea buckthorn, pomegranate and oat kernel, together with organic rosehip and carrot seed extracts, vitamins C and E. Combine this with the hyaluronic-powered booster, a lightweight gel, and you have a luxurious hydrating emulsion that really impressed our testers.

One tester summed up the effect after using it diligently on one side of her face: ‘The brand promises softer, smoother and more luminous skin – and THOSE ARE THE RESULTS! There was definite plumpness and I had a glow on the treated side, like a post-holiday, fresh-looking glow.’
