Ta-dah! Can you hear the roll of drums and fanfare of trumpets as Irish beauty brand SEABODY takes the top Award for the ‘next big beauty brand’ in London pharmacy John Bell & Croyden’s ‘Anniversary Award’?
It was a fiercely competitive contest with no less than 19 brands on the short list so we piled huge congratulations on Dr. Helena McMahon, scientist extraordinaire and co-founder of this wild-marine-nature meets pioneering-tech-powered-high-science range, when we met her recently in the Wigmore Street store.
SEABODY uses only organically certified, sustainably cultivated and hard-harvested seaweeds from the Wild Atlantic Way – it gives us rather a thrill just imagining the roar of the blue green waves on that beautiful west coast of Ireland. The potent bioactive ingredients are extracted using zero-waste clean technologies at their Tralee, County Kerry HQ. Packaging is equally eco-conscious, with infinitely recyclable glass, forest steward certified paper and biodegradable ink.
