Rodin Lip Balm Ring

This is just so, so, so, so, SO cute. (See the £1 coin, for scale!) At first glance, it looks like something out of a cracker – but in fact, it's a very upscale teeny pot of highly nourishing lip balm from a range we've been checking out (and treating ourselves to) every time we drift past the Rodin counter in Liberty.

Created by Linda Rodin (read more about her here in our review of her sensational Crema hand cream in Jo Loves), it's a capsule collection of products deemed essential by surely one of the most stylish women on Planet Beauty.

It features shea butter, castor oil, beeswax, aloe leaf extract, argan and has a soft whiff of what we're coming to think of as Rodin's signature fragrance – a gorgeous blend of jasmine and neroli oils. (Not enough to make it taste, just smell faintly and prettily.)

It's easily slipped into a handbag or – if you really get addicted (and don't blame us), slips onto a finger for regular slicking; just flip the lid and swipe.

So far, our Rodin splurges have a 100% success rate.

Which we guess means more beauty shopping accidents in the coming weeks and months.
