L'Occitane new cleansing collection

How you like to remove your make-up is an incredibly personalised choice. But L'Occitane's new cleansing collection pretty much has it covered (even if you're an old-fashioned soap-and-water devotee. And there are a few remaining...)

Seven cleansers just joined the line-up, infused with extracts from flowers and vegetables grown in L'Occitane's heartland of Provence, chosen for their skincaring benefits, and we'd like to highlight a few of our favourites.

First up, two great additions to the Immortelle collection (a longstanding favourite with Beauty Bible readers), which is ideal for skins that need comforting. The shake-before-use Eyes & Lips Bi-Phasic cleanser makes light work of sweeping away dark lipsticks and eye make-up, while the Oil-to-Milk cleanser is really a joy to use. Massage it into your face to loosen make-up and debris, then add water to morph it into a milk and swoosh away. (Though as ever, we choose to remove our cleanser with a flannel or muslin cloth.)

If you like a lighter cleanser and a sensation of freshness, check out the cucumber-infused range (below), which has a wonderfully refreshing scent and offers a micellar water and a gel-to-foam cleanser – another innovative texture that's effective, fun-to-use (and we were surprised to find didn't leave skin tight). Ideal for blemish-prone skins, it offers antibacterial thyme alongside zinc. Cleansing is a personal thing, so alternatively, if you like a softly cocooning cleanser, check out the trio of products in the millennial-pink-packaged range that features organic Provençal fig and honey.

Bottom line is: cleansing should be a pleasure, not a chore – and L'Occitane totally get that.
