We've lost count of the number of sensitive-skinned souls who we've pointed in the direction of Simple's skincare. But this range – which targets the symptoms of dry skins (roughness, dryness, tightness, dullness and actual dehydration lines) – takes it to another level. It features what they describe as a 'key active' - something called 'Pentavitin' – but as ever we're more interested in what the products actually deliver than why.

Simple Water Boost Micellar Facial Gel Wash – lovely bubbly texture, brilliantly attracting all make-up, grime, gunk and city-related debris for you to swish down the sink. Fab for anyone who likes a mildly foaming cleanser, and doesn't leave skin taut.

Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water – a little more hydrating than most cleansers of this type, but still acting like a 'magnet' for dirt as you sweep micellar-drenched cotton pads over the face.

Simple Water Boost Hydrating Booster – we're familiar with these in way, way more expensive ranges, but this can be used to ramp up the hydration factor of your regular moisturiser, primer, or simply used to quench dry areas as a targeted treatment. As with the whole Simple collection, it's free of fragrances, artificial colourist and harsh ingredients.

And the best news for anyone who's equally sensitive to their budget, nothing over seven quid.
