Fab Find of the Week: Wildsmith's new candles
There are scented candles.
And then there are Wildsmith’s new scented candles, which have been flickering in the Beauty Bible office, and have quiet stolen our hearts.
Pretty to look at, pretty to smell (we think that is a thing), these are inspired by the woodlands and garden of the Heckfield Estate, Wildsmith’s home.
And with a smooth-burning base of rapeseed, coconut, soya and beeswax), and scented with 100% essential oils, Wildsmith's new candles offer a real BINGO! moment for anyone looking for all-natural candles. The new scents are…
Floriferous, ‘a celebration of tumbling blooms, with jasmine and rose softened by fresh green angelica.’ But we actually prefer Parterre, which feels almost meditiate, with a bland of magnolia leaf, geranium, angelica and fresh herbs. Grounding and gorgeous. (There are already three scents in the line-up, although these passed us by: Gilden (hinoki, vetiver, sage, currently sold out); Brumal (rose, cedarwood, frankincense – also lovely); and Yulestarn, whose star anise, clove and jasmine vibe is perhaps not the summer scent you’re seeking right now! (Anyway, that’s currently sold out, too…)
While the initial candle-purchase is pricy, once you’ve got your vessel they’re refillable – at £45, that’s a chunky saving on the initial price, considering the good 50-hour burn-time.
