Fab Find of the Week: Trinny London Lip Reset

Lip ‘fashion’ has lately been blurry. Which we love, sometimes; it’s so easy-peasy. But this new duo from Trinny reminds us just how flattering, how de-ageing and polished lips can look, when we try a little bit harder than a blind swipe of tinted lip balm.

Trinny – who certainly understands (verily, champions) more mature faces, launched the Trinny London Lip Reset Kit last month, pairing shades of the fab Line2Define Lip Liner and Sheer Joy Pro-Collagen Lip Oil.

The formulas are described as ‘skincare-first’, apparently with ‘collagen-enhancing and moisture-boosting actives designed to treat lips over time’ – in other words, they have the potential to be a treatment product if used ritually. (And we’re not sure how many women do that, in reality.) But because of that skincaring formulation, they also feel really easy on lips – yet are surprisingly long-lasting. (The liner stays put through light eating and several cups of tea/glasses of water. Note: you could also draw all over lips with it, as a base for the oil, if you choose.)

The lip oil itself is so comfy, though, we could almost curl up on it with a book in front of the sofa. Well, you know what we mean. Layered over the liner, which gives great definition to lips that (like ours) are becoming naturally blurry, it creates an optical illusion of plumpness, and a good dose of glamour with every slick.

10 gorgeous shade combos to choose from – we like Anya + Sofia, which combines a deep pink and a plum pink that still look very naturally. – and as of later this week, the products will also be available to purchase individually.

But read our lips: these were originally designed to be used in combo, for impact – and if it’s a better shape and plumpness you’re after, we’d head straight for the Reset Kit.
