Fab Find of the Week: Stila Spring newness

The fact that we were introduced to these products over ice cream did not influence how we fell in love with Stila’s spring collection.

It’s gorgeous. But there are two absolute stand-out products we want to showcase here, because we’ve a feeling we’ll be devoted to these for a l-o-n-g time to come.

Stila Convertible Color™ Nourishing Liqua-Tint – this is a truly wowzer discovery. It’s for lips and cheeks, but what we love is the blush. So… you need a dot. A micro-dot. Maybe less than a micro-dot. If you touch the doe-foot wand (above) to your skin, you risk overdoing it; our technique is to apply a touch to the back of the hand, then pick up with a fingertip – and it still goes a long, long way. The flush, however, lasts for ages and is incredibly becoming – our choice (from six) is the slightly rosewood-y Tawny shade, which is very, very flattering and natural-looking. But remember: go lightly! You can always build.

Stila Heaven’s Dew Honey Glow Balm – we are known devotees of tinted lip balms, but this one’s a new favourite because it has just a touch more (sheer) pigment than most, and a LOT more staying power. So, a tinted lip balm – but with generally more va-va-voom. Six great shades in this, meanwhile – we’re currently rocking Berry Crush, which comes across as a gorgeous raspberry on the lips.

Alongside these you’ll find new shades of Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek – the iconic blusher (spoiler alert: this might just have a starring role in our new book), and five metallic Chroma-Flash Eyeliner shades (including a stunning turqouise), which look wonderful on those who are deft of hand and smooth of lid, but are a bit too adventurous for us.
