Fab Find of the Week: Quantum Alchemy by Michelle Roques-O'Neil

We’d honestly follow Michelle Roques-O’Neil to the ends of the earth. One of the most extraordinarily healing therapists we’ve ever been treated by, she is a secret shared by those-in-the-know. And Michelle’s products, in their various incarnations, have always been go-tos for us.

So we were properly, properly excited to discover her new range, Quantum Alchemy, during an ‘Aroma Aura Reading’ at her studio just off London’s Portobello Road. (We’ll be reviewing that later, when Jo receives her personal ‘perfume prescription’, as follow-up to the session.)

If you can’t get to see Michelle in person, however, this trio of new products definitely brings some of her magic to your door. (Bathroom and bedroom doors, that is.)

The first of the products to come in very handy was Quantum Alchemy Resilience Molecular Infusion – because this coincided with a minor head cold, for Jo. With cajeput, niaouli, lemon myrtle, ravensara, eucalyptus, thyme and tangerine, these are the big aromatherapeutic guns when it comes to getting rid of congestion, and can also be used to soothe aches and pains. Wonderfully head-clearing, you can massage into skin before bathing, and/or pour a capful into the bath. Powerful stuff.

That’s the first of two bath infusions, the second being Quantum Alchemy Nirvana Sleep Soak, which has the most fabulous blend of bergamot, jasmine, neroli, orange blossom, bergamot and frankincense, infused into Himalayan sea salt and with powdered rose quart tincture. It’s a HUGE tub, and though pricy, generous enough for quite a few soaks, when sleep’s being elusive.

We probably wouldn’t use that every single night – but the third product, Quantum Alchemy Dream Moon Mist, has been reached for every single night since Jo got her spray, to great effect.

Looking at the blend of essential oils – chamomile, bergamot, neroli, vetiver, patchouli, jatamansi – doesn’t really give a proper clue as to its sleep-beckoning, sleep-enhancing power, which was evident from the first night. Maybe it’s the crystal tinctures of lapis lazuli and moonstone that work their magic, or the hydrosols of chamomile, lavender, orange flower, frankincense and witch hazel. Or – literally – the ‘quantum’ alchemy of all of those ingredients together.

The spray now has a place front and centre of Jo’s bedside table, to waft her zzz-wards. We don’t begin to understand why these products are so effective, but the results speak for themselves.

Michelle might call it ‘quantum alchemy.’ We call it magic.
