Fab Find of the Week: Olverum Facial Oil
So here’s a bit of a spoiler alert: if you tune in to our Beauty Bible Awards on Wednesday this week on Instagram Live (12.30pm and 6pm – diarise NOW!), you’ll find that Olverum has pulled off quite a trick with wins for their original Bath Oil product.
But we’ve personally now found a new favourite in the range, which has expanded way beyond that original iconic product, and just launched their first facial treat – Olverum Pure Radiance Facial Oil.
The vitamin-rich base oils – it offers F, A, C and E – include cacay oil, bakuchiol and rosehip oil. Unsurprisingly, it offers a much more subtle fragrance experience than the ker-pow, mood-shifting bath oil – but we’re loving the gentle aromatic blend of lavender, geranium, clary sage and patchouli, which is soothing at the end of a busy day.
The scent, however, still invites you to experience it in all its glory before use: Olverum recommend three drops warmed in the palms of the hand; cup around your nose and then breathe deeply for a few grounding seconds, before massaging. (As recommended, we’ve tried using a Gua Sha plate with this and have had amazing, radiance-boosting results.)
As for the texture? It’s rich, but not at all cloying, sinking in very fast to leave skin plumped, moisturised and radiant.
And we wouldn’t be surprised – if Olverum submit this for 2022’s Beauty Bible Awards (which we’re already starting to think about!) – if our testers rather fall for this, too. Just as we have…
