Fab Find of the Week: Liz Earle Environmental Defence Cream Mineral SPF25

The wind may be blowing in from the West, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that we need a good daily sunscreen, from here on in. And here is a rather good NEW daily sunscreen, from the brand originally founded by Liz Earle.

As someone who reacts to chemical sunscreens, this has been Jo’s go-to in the month or so since it launched, based around zinc and titanium dioxide, to guard against both UVA and UVB rays. And unlike many daily sunscreens, meanwhile, it’s nicely moisturising – which sounds a bit ‘duh’, for a facial moisturiser, but it’s not always the case. Lingonberry and blueberry seed oils and shea butter feature, making this skin-quenching, yet after a few minutes creates a great base for make-up. (Something we hope to be using less and less of, in months to come).

There’s a tint in there, too – a slightly radiant, light-reflective bronze tone, which adds just a whisper of healthy colour and is ‘adaptive’, so it will work on any skintone.

PS Like that this comes in a tube featuring 55% recycled materials. There’s more and more of this going on and we couldn’t be more pleased.
