Fab Find of the Week: Emma Hardie Vit C newness
Since it was launched, when Jo looks in the mirror and sees… well, a grey face looking back, she has reached for Emma Hardie Vit C Radiance Gel Moisturiser, which launched a wee while back. Honestly, a bit of a miracle worker for the skin ‘blahs.’ Apply at night - especially if it’s been a big one – and by morning, skin just looks healthy and glowy, even after too little sleep. Its skin-brightening power is truly world-class.
We were genuinely excited, then – excited enough to get on a train at stupid o’clock to attend the press launch – to check out the new skin-illuminating additions to the Vit C range (not least because Emma Hardie only bring out things when they’re ready, not just for the sake of it).
The newness is as follows. (For transparency, samples of the Radiance Renewal Serum have only just become available, so we can’t claim to have tried it yet, but have a strong hunch that this too, will deliver on its skin-plumping, nourishing, brightening promises. Watch this space.)
What we ARE loving, meanwhile, is the Vit C Brilliance Cleansing Balm. Emma Hardie’s moringa-powered cleanser is probably the product that put it most firmly on the map, originally – and so these guys really know balms. This is a fresh take on that formula: a truly make-up vanquishing, deliciously-textured balm, which morphs into a silky-textured oil when massaged into skin. And you will want to massage it, because of the heavenly scent or orange blossom, orange and mandarin essential oils. Infused with 1% vitamin C, skin looks brighter from first use – and what else we love is that it can be used for eye make-up removal, massaged into the eye area without irritation or blurred eyesight. You remove it with the most velvety of face cloths (which also has a slightly exfoliating flipside), making the whole experience joyfully, sensorially lovely.
For party prepping or a really serious case of those ‘blahs’, meanwhile – or perhaps to use in-flight (do be prepared to frighten your flying companion!) – there is the Emma Hardie Vit C Brightening Hydrogel Mask, which deploys double-layered Korean technology (and those Koreans know their stuff). Alongside the vitamin C is rice bran extract, to revitalise, Panthenol to top up moisture levels and liquorice to soothe inflammation, literally infusing the formula into skin beneath the mask, which you smooth over the face to remove air bubbles. After 20-25 minutes, remove the sheet mask and massage the excess essence into skin, which is visibly more luminous. A single sachet, and not exactly cheap at £15, it nevertheless is way cheaper than a facial (and a heck of a lot less faff).
It launches today at emmahardie.com, and at the beginning of September at M&S. Our fave new way to see – or maybe ‘C’ – the difference, fast.
