Fab Find of the Week: Ateh Jewel Beauty Blush of Dreams Cream Blush
Ateh Jewel is a force of nature, a woman never afraid to speak her mind, an advocate, a human dynamo (sometimes hurricane!) and the very embodiment of determination.
She also really, really, really knows her beauty stuff – which she shares in print, on her own website and on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ – and we’re proud to call her a friend, of many years’ standing. (Ateh’s also contributed to this very website, in the past – and as you know, we rarely have outside contributors.)
Quite a few years ago, Ateh shared with us her dream of launching a truly inclusive foundations range. These things take time, however, so for now, Ateh is launching a truly sensational, suits-all-skintones trio of complexion-loving blushers at – ta-dah! – Harrods. It’s also available online at her own website here, and in all the eight branches of H Beauty (locations here.)
Jo popped in to the launch at Harrods last week, and saw with her own eyes how this trio of blushers really does suit everyone also present: Priscilla Anayabu – well-known from ‘Love Island’, so we are told – and who looked absolutely knockout in the blushers. As did Ateh herself.
They are creamy, blend easily, yet don’t melt clean off the face as some cream blushers do. Plenty of skin-loving ingredients, including shea butter, aloe vera, cocoa butter mean that they do double-duty on lips (and sssssh, don’t tell a soul, but Jo used the Love Plum Plum shade on her eyes, remembering how Terry de Gunzburg once advised her it was the perfect shade to make blue eyes ‘pop’. And it still is, NB).
Three shades – and the pigments are strong; the whole point of these is that you’re not going to get a ‘barely-there’ nude look (although there are other shades in the pipeline). She’s launching with that deep plum (which blends to a windswept healthy glow on pale skin like Jo’s); Watermelon Watson, and Radiant Rav – don’t be put off by the strength of the red; it melts into skin to look natural, while delivering a real ‘pop’ of healthiness.
Sometimes, even we need reminding that there is honestly nothing that perks up a face faster than blusher. With one of these in our handbags at all times, we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
