Fab Find of the Week: Navy hand and cuticle care
‘Dear Diary: 2026 is going to be the year when we take better care of our nails and cuticles. What with gardening, in particular, we know we’re guilty of failing to give them the TLC they deserve. But now we’ve discovered Navy nail care, we promise all that is going to change…’
As beauty resolutions go, doing more for your nails is a very positive one – not least in dividends swiftly paid, for the amount of effort invested. Cuticles soften swiftly, and don’t any longer snag. Hands look instantly more groomed. And over the slightly longer term, nail health and even growth is enhanced, when you make a habit of daily (or more conveniently, nightly) care: stronger, more flexible nails, resistant to breaks and snaps.
Navy is a brilliant new find, then – introduced to us by our friends at Space NK – which makes regular nail care into a real pleasure. It has a heartening back story, since founder Rebecca Crawforth launched her very first nail salon under the auspices of The Prince’s Trust (now The King’s Trust), which has given a terrific start to so many ventures. In this incarnation, her brand is a beautiful, lifestyle-driven brand with a focus on ‘quiet luxury’, and embracing candles, bodycare, lash and brow care tools – gosh, even blankets.
It's the nail range we’re here to share today, though, encompassing everything from professional-quality nail care tools – all crafted from beautiful, sleek brass – through to a veritable armoury of products to care for hands and nails. These are pimping our hand care rituals, in particular…
Cuticle Serum Pen – our advice: keep one of these in your handbag. Reach for it when on public transport, when you’re being kept waiting or otherwise have to twiddle your snaggle-cuticled thumbs. The nourishing, creamy blend dispenses via a built-in brush and is instantly silkifying, with its natural cargo of argan, castor oil, jojoba, rosehip oil and more.
Navy Cuticle Balm – this bestseller is the one for the bedside, to keep up the good work last thing at night before sleeping. Available in both a large and a small tin, blending rosehip and coconut oil, shea butter and aloe vera extract.
Navy Hand & Nail Balm – suitable for nails, yes, but also a deep nourishing treat for chapped or dry hands, blending coconut, rosehip, olive and sunflower oils, with candelilla wax.
There are also fab tools – because this is a brand that also supplies many nail salons. Notable? The sharp, last-a-lifetime quality Navy Nail Clippers, pictured above.
And for keeping by the taps… Navy Exfoliating Hand Wash is instantly skin-brightening, great for rescuing hands after mucky tasks, with fine-milled (non-scratchy) pumice for skin-buffing, in a non-drying sudsing base. This looks particularly fetching paired with Navy Hand Cream, which is rich but not greasy (ticking our all-important hand cream boxes), blending sunflower seed and argan oil, and offering Navy’s signature sandalwood and mandarin blend. (You will find these last two on Navy’s own website, NB.)
All making for a New Year’s resolution that it will be a pleasure to stick to.
