This is the neck's best thing – or the best we've trialled in forever. We're massive fans of 'physical' tools which work to shift and dissipate built-up fluid in the face – and this has a really stand-out applicator: a wide roller which not only works brilliantly to apply the age-defying ingredients, but also helps to de-puff the jaw-line. Not only that, but the action of application makes it deeply relaxing all round, since so much tension is stored in the jaw.

From one of the country's leading facialists – we're longstanding fans of Emma Hardie – this is a nourishing, hydrating, collagen-boosting formula. Key ingredients include omega-rich Inca Inchi oil, raspberry seed oil and lashings of hyaluronic acid, alongside more high-tech ingredients with whiz-bang trademarked names including Liftonin-Expert and Neodermyl.

As is Beauty Bible's wont, however, we're more interested in seeing what it delivers than the science bit. And so what we can say is that after just a few days of use, the jaw-line's definitely a touch sharper, and the sheer pleasure of applying the product itself means that diligence has paid off – skin's smoother, and the neck's definitely in better nick. Is it lifted? Is it firmer? Can't be absolutely sure, yet – but because this is such a delight to use, we'll be sticking with it.

And that, readers, is what truly makes a difference with any skincare product.
