Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation SPF50/PA+++

We divvy foundations into ‘work-wear’ and leisure-wear – the latter being slightly lighter than the flawless finish we feel is professional, for appointments and meetings with fellow beauty folk.

This is our new favourite ‘downtime’ foundation, then – as worn by Jo on a recent holiday, and perfect for that job. It’s light, it’s airy, it’s sheer, it lets skin breathe (the biggest complaint we hear about foundations) – but it’s still skin-perfecting.

It’s a ‘cushion’ compact – bouncy and sponge-y textured, applied with a built-in sponge tucked inside the chic white mirrored compact.

Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation SPF50/PA+++ came into its own in sunny climes – frankly, the SPF50 is superfluous to requirement in winter – and will be coming out again for a sheer summer glow, just as soon as the days start getting longer.

Only five shades, alas. But otherwise? Sheer-in-every-way perfection.
