Happy Christmas to Centrepoint!

Yesterday was one of the nicest days in Beauty Bible’s year. It was the day when we teamed up with willing volunteers from across the beauty industry to put together Christmas goodie bags for the young women at Centrepoint, London’s homelessness charity.

This is something our co-editor Jo Fairley has been doing for 19 years with Sharron Lowe (author of The Mind Makeover), and it’s a wonderful way for the beauty world to give back. The generosity is amazing – and for the young women at the projects, it honestly makes Christmas. (For many, it’s the only Christmas gift they’ll receive.)

The Beauty Bible and Perfume Society teams were out in force at Centrepoint’s Camberwell residence, along with helpers from Beauty Seen PR, Pure PR, Elemis, Aspects Beauty, British Beauty Blogger Jane Cunningham and others. (Our thanks also go to John Raynham and Tony Doogan from Centrepoint, for helping with logistics at their end.)

We’d like to thank the incredibly generous donors to the bags (Beauty Bible contributes the actual bags themselves), who included (in no particular order!): Champneys, Mii, Percy & Reed, Glamour magazine, Manuka Doctor, E.L.F., Kenneth Green Associates, Emma Hardie, EOS, Revlon, Sanctuary Spa, Tresemmé, Elemis, Josh Wood Colour, Heathcote & Ivory, Lanolips, Mitchum, Gatineau, Thalgo, Aspects Beauty, Bobbi Brown, Emma Hardie, ALIVE!, Kind Natured, Charles Worthington

After some posts on Instagram, we’ve already had some amazing offers of help for next year. But if you’re a beauty brand reading this and you’d like to contribute to next year’s bags, do drop us a line here – we’re already thinking that far ahead!

It’s thank you, thank you, thank you from us to the beauty world – and on behalf of some very happy young women, on Christmas morning.
