If you’re anything like us, you’re looking at ways wherever you can to cut down on single-use items. Even cotton pads; multiply the number we get through every night, as a nation (never mind all over the world), and it’s millions.

But with these incredibly effective reusable cotton pads from The Body Shop, it’s easy-peasy to go cold turkey on single-use pads. There’s one for each night/day of the week (usefully marked Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and so on). They’re accessorised with a 100% organic cotton drawstring bag, so that you can wash them easily without losing them in the toe of a sock or a trouser leg or some such – though to be honest, we do an initial wash straight away, with some soap and hot water, just to get the worst of the eye make-up off.

And they really DO take off eye make-up incredibly well, when you use remover in the normal way. (Flip over so as to use one side per eye.) Alternatively, they can be used on the face with a micellar water or cream cleanser.

The ONLY danger is that we’re so used to throwing away remover pads on autopilot that on several occasions we’ve had to fish these out of the bin we’d chucked them into!
