Beauty Bible Loves... Vieve Poutder
Suddenly, we are craving more matte lips. It baffles us, every year: come September, just when we think we’ll never tire of bronzer and shimmer, there’s a craving for matteness. (It tends to come hand in hand with wistful thoughts of crumbles and cardigans, in our case.)
A perfect-for-the-time-of-year discovery, then, is this soft mousse liquid lipstick, from Vieve, the Scottish-founded brand of accessible luxury make-up, founded by make-up pro Jamie Genevieve (hence the name).
The soft, doe-foot applicator smooths onto lips, depositing colour with a velvety, almost powdered texture, which then proves moderately budge-proof. (We’re talking a couple of hours, in our experience, which is jolly decent.)
It’s comfy, too – thanks to vitamin E, hyaluronic filling spheres (which help create the illusion of a smoother surface), and castor seed oil. It feels pillowy on lips – and somehow, looks it, too. Very ‘this season’, looks-wise (not that we’re generally bothered about that).
Four shades currently available, all sort of mid-neutral – we’re rocking Miss Figgy, above left. And we have fingers crossed for further shades, incoming. (Cherry, please, Jamie!)
