We always have the best intentions to keep up our gum-health-boosting, smile-saving electric-slash-sonic toothbrush regime when on the road... But with most of those toothbrushes being decidedly clunky and weighty, have to admit it doesn't always happen

So we're thrilled to discover this new Phillips One Battery Toothbrush: a truly lightweight (little more than a normal toothbrush) toothbrush, great for on-the-go-brushing (and with a useful sleeve that slips over the bristles, to protect it in transit). Of course, if you want, you can use this at home as your regular toothbrush. If you're still using a manual version, this might be a great transitional toothbrush...

It's sleek and stylish, fits nicely in the hand and (usefully) is powered by a normal AAA battery; like a full-size electric toothbrush, there's an alert to tell you when you've reached your brushing quota for each mouth-zone, and again when your two minutes of ‘prescribed’ brushing are up. (Always bearing in mind our friends at The Dental Barn who remind us that we should really be targeting the ‘pockets’ along the gum line, where plaque and bacteria gather, rather than the teeth themselves.)

It also comes in some VERY cool colours. We're loving the orange. Though can we put in a Beauty Bible request for hot pink, please, Philips...?
