Beauty Bible Loves... Perfino fragrance jewellery
The idea behind this clever and beautiful accessory from Perfino is to allow people who are sensitive to fragrance to wear it, without irritating their skin. A really small but significant number of people do have a reaction to fragrances. Happily, we don’t count ourselves among them, but for us, there’s another reason to invest in a piece of Perfino jewellery.
Wear this with any favourite fragrance (ideally a parfum or eau de parfum), and it actually wafts for longer than if you’d put it straight on your skin. It’s the same with clothing, actually; somehow, movement triggers the release of perfume, allowing you to enjoy your favourite scent in little wafty bursts, through the day. Our choice here is the solid silver pendant (there’s a choice of chain lengths, so do measure your neck, and think about where you’d like it to fall).
Perfino actually comes with a choice of their own fragrances (10ml), in the form of natural essential oils which are blended by a professional aromatherapist. There’s a set of mini lava stones so you can switch it all up, too. (Our tip: do keep a note of which fragrance you apply to which colour of lava stone! Although apparently they clean well with soapy water.)
You add a drop of fragrance to the ball, secure it in the filigree ball with a clasp, and bingo. If you’re using your own fragrance, spritz generously and do the same.
Their fragrances are: Mood (calming), And Breathe (energising) and Dreamy (deep love). But we particularly like Perfino’s new Guardian Angel perfume oil, a sophisticated and beautiful Chypre.
Pretty enough to wear even if it wasn’t scented, we reckon. But how lovely to have that fragrant bonus.
