Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Age-Defying Overnight Mask
This couldn’t have launched at a better time. (Today, actually.) Because any day now, we know we’re going to look in the mirror and go: ‘Where did that lovely summer glow go?’ The anticipated rain (hallelujah) should keep the air moist for a bit longer, but sure as night follows day, we’ll start to see signs of dryness returning to our complexions. (Especially for those of us who’ve spent any time in the sun – and honestly, how could you avoid it?)
A luscious overnight mask, this joins Neal’s Yard Remedies’ bestselling Frankincense range. (Which we are proud to have first put on the skincare map, with its very first Miracle Cream triumph in the Beauty Bible Awards, back in the day.) It perhaps doesn’t smell quite as strongly of frankincense as some of the other products, but the texture is sublime – and just the skin drink that’s needed.
It plumps. It smooths. It quenches. If you want the technical bit, it features bacillus ferment with the aim of lifting and contouring, plus hyaluronic acid to boost moisture levels and revitalise. Adaptogenic ashwagandha, Centella Asiatica and turmeric root extract also help the face to look rested.
Leave it on for 30 minutes, or as a ‘sleeping mask’ overnight (that’s our modus operandi). We’re not sure we’re seeing firmer contours, as promised – it’s too early for that, although in Neal’s Yard Remedies’ own clinical trials, it did indeed firm, lift and even ‘recontour’. But skin that looks plumped, dewy and nourished? Sure. Immediately.
