Beauty Bible Loves... NUXE Rêve de Miel Delectable Fragrant Water

There are some products with bamboozling, what-the-heck-does-that-mean? names. And there are some products that just perfectly live up to their name. This is one of them. NUXE Rêve de Miel Delectable Fragrant Water. Got that? Delectable. Fragrant. Water.

The ‘miel’ bit is the other clue. Honey. Sweet, luscious honey. It’s a key ingredient for this NUXE Rêve de Miel range, which we have long loved. (There’s a great ‘starter kit’ for checking out the wider range, here.)

In fact, NUXE is a brand of which we have been massive fans since we met the founder, Aliza Jabès, at time of launch in – gulp, just looked it up! – 1991. (Did you know she is make-up artist-founder Terry de Gunzburg’s sister, BTW? What a talented family.) She’s still at the helm, after all this time.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Delectable Fragrant Water is a proper grown-up gourmand. So, while honey stars, citrus keeps it bright and orange blossom adds a waft of femininity. An addictive, warm base of sandalwood and tonka bean stops things from tipping into sticky-sweet territory, but makes for a yummily cosy trail.

Super-summery – though as with most scents, we add the caveat to spray your clothing (and, we suggest, beach towel and sunhat) if you’re sunbathing. But absolutely delectable and deliciously fragrant, it sure is.

And as for water…? It’s what NUXE call an eau parfumante, which is less concentrated than eau de parfum – closer to a body mist or an eau fraiche.)
