Beauty Bible Loves... Moroccanoil Treatment Mist

If you are hesitant to spray something that has the word ‘oil’ in its name onto your hair – well, we get it. So were we. But a recent introduction to this new Moroccanoil product completely banished our prejudices. And actually, as the central heating goes on – sorry, but we’ve had to, on some occasions – it may just prove your hair’s new best friend.

It features the signature ‘cosy-sexy’ Moroccanoil scent – so beloved that they actually turned it into a fragrance. They call their signature scent the ‘Fragrance Originale’, with its blend of sweet florals and spicy amber notes, brightened by a flash of citrus. That scent is infused into the whole collection, and of course – because hair is a great carrier of fragrance – it gives little heavenly puffs, with every head-swish.

Key botanicals in Moroccanoil Treatment Mist include hydrating argan oil and linseed extract, which boosts hair health; those are listed alongside silicones and other synthetics, NB, but this isn’t a brand that ever promised to be all-natural. The words on the packaging – ‘ULTRA-LIGHT’ – really are accurate, meanwhile.

Use it in two ways. On damp hair, from mid-length to the ends (NB not the roots), to help boost manageability and shine, prepping the hair for blow-drying (and though they don’t promise this, there has to be some level of heat protection there). Or – our preference – spritz very lightly onto dry hair from the mid-lengths through to the ends, then smooth down any flyaways – and stand back, and admire the shine, in your mirror.
