Molton Brown Flora Luminare Hand Cream

Molton Brown’s Flora Luminare is as sun-filled as fragrance gets. There’s ylang ylang, jasmine absolute and tiaré flower in there (an exotic oil used in Tahiti by women as an aphrodisiac, so we’re told, combed through hair). It also has whispers of orange blossom, mandarin, rose, vanilla, musk and cedarwood: a real whisk-you-to-a-paradise-beach scent.

We are very unlikely to be travelling to an exotic island ourselves, in the imminent future. In fact, we’re unlikely to be going anywhere very far at all. And we’re not alone; we just read a fascinating article in The New York Times about ‘The Phantom Handbag’, about the fact that all those smart, status symbol bags and totes are sitting neglected on the shelf. For weeks, we’ve barely had anything with us but a small cross-body pouch – and that’s where this comes into its own.

With all the required hand sanitising, paws dry out quickly – but this 40ml size is VERY portable and very good for slipping into even the smallest cross-body bag, to put back all the moisture that the frequent squirts of anti-bac take out.

It’s enriched with shea butter and meadowfoam seed oil, so it’s enduringly moisturising and softening. A modern must-have, we’d call it.
