Beauty Bible Loves... L'Occitane Almond Resurfacing Body Serum

To coincide with their spiffy new look, L’Occitane have launched some spiffy new products.

This has really impressed us, and will definitely thrill the legions of lovers of L’Occitane’s Amande range, which has scooped so many Beauty Bible Awards down the years.

Now, this might be called ‘Resurfacing’ but don’t run away with the idea that there’s any scrubbing involved. The cell-buffing action is down to 5% AHAs, along with prickly pear extract, which work to smooth skin – but there’s no rubbing, no dissolved cellular gunk, and absolutely no sharp bits; this is a blissful gel texture, which leaves skin smooth and softer, not least thanks to a generous dose of hyaluronic acid.

Somewhat luxe-priced, we figure it’ll benefit anyone’s skin, but is especially designed to tackle ‘strawberry skin’, rough texture, ingrown hairs, clogged pores and fine dehydration lines. Our skin isn’t bad at all (we are beauty editors who practice what we preach), but it definitely looks more luminous and sort of plumper, after a treatment wtih this – which we’d recommend a few nights a week. If you want greater hydration, layer on your favourite body product, over the top – rather as you might apply a moisturiser, after a face serum.

And the smell…? An almond-y, marzipan-y winner, every time.
