Beauty Bible Loves… Laura Geller Jelly Balm Hydrating Lip Color
Lips. Everyone’s sore point right now, eh? (Literally, in many cases.)
Now, we love a lip balm and feature them frequently. Trouble is, many require repeated application – and we mean time after time after time.
So, we were surprised to discover the hydrating staying power of this baby, from US make-up artist Laura Geller (best known for her ‘baked’ powders – and we bought this when we were indeed trying out a solid mineral foundation, as research).
This swivel-up tinted balm looks more like a lipstick, but behaves like a balm infused with sheer colour – and with a touch of the Duracell bunnies about it. Laura Geller Jelly Balm Hydrating Lip Color is definitely not a ‘natural’ formulation, despite having castor seed oil, sqaualane and candelilla wax pretty high up the ingredients list. But if you want something that stays put and doesn’t have you rootlilng in your bag for a swipe every five minutes, here it is. The finish? Not matte, not super-shiny, but somewhere in between – and with 13 shades to choose from, all of which look super-wearble.
A great midwinter find, we reckon.
