Inky & Mole hair accessories
Fringes falling in eyes. Layers growing out. Split and frizzy ends. Never mind a Bad Hair Day, this has become a Bad Hair #Lockdown.
How happy, then, were we to stumble across this fantastic British hair accessories company, and snap a few up from their website to tidy up our shaggy barnets.
Weβre hugely impressed by the quality of Inky & Moleβs clips and barrettes β made in Somerset, to the standard weβd expect from France, actually. (Where elegant Frenchwomen have always understood why itβs worth paying a teensy bit more for hair accessories β not least because they donβt snag, tug and basically razor-cut your hair).
Only, unlike the sort of accessories youβd find in Paris (were you allowed to travel there), these have a real fashion feel to them. As the founders β itβs a family business (we like that) β comment, βNot only do they have to be colourful, fun, funky and individual, they also have to be functional and long-lasting.β Thereβs a touch of the Mary Quants about them (Google her, younger readers!), but they feel completely modern, at the same time. The style above is called Florence, and (as a lover/wearer of navy) is Joβs particular fave, priced Β£15.
Great colours, fab finish β all in all, a FANTASTIC find. And while we canβt wait for our next trim, at least we wonβt look like a bunch of Strewelpeters, between now andβ¦ oh, god, whenever.
