Inky & Mole hair accessories

Fringes falling in eyes. Layers growing out. Split and frizzy ends. Never mind a Bad Hair Day, this has become a Bad Hair #Lockdown.

How happy, then, were we to stumble across this fantastic British hair accessories company, and snap a few up from their website to tidy up our shaggy barnets.

Weโ€™re hugely impressed by the quality of Inky & Moleโ€™s clips and barrettes โ€“ made in Somerset, to the standard weโ€™d expect from France, actually. (Where elegant Frenchwomen have always understood why itโ€™s worth paying a teensy bit more for hair accessories โ€“ not least because they donโ€™t snag, tug and basically razor-cut your hair).

Only, unlike the sort of accessories youโ€™d find in Paris (were you allowed to travel there), these have a real fashion feel to them. As the founders โ€“ itโ€™s a family business (we like that) โ€“ comment, โ€˜Not only do they have to be colourful, fun, funky and individual, they also have to be functional and long-lasting.โ€™ Thereโ€™s a touch of the Mary Quants about them (Google her, younger readers!), but they feel completely modern, at the same time. The style above is called Florence, and (as a lover/wearer of navy) is Joโ€™s particular fave, priced ยฃ15.

Great colours, fab finish โ€“ all in all, a FANTASTIC find. And while we canโ€™t wait for our next trim, at least we wonโ€™t look like a bunch of Strewelpeters, between now andโ€ฆ oh, god, whenever.
