Beauty Bible Loves… Good Kynd Iced Chai Latte
Most of us know that we need more prebiotics in our diets, for gut health. Well, here’s a delicious way to sneak more in – and maybe enjoy a meditative moment, at the same time, which is what we’ve been doing.
Good Kynd Ice Chai Latte is delish. Which means that you’ll drink it. Which means that you’ll also get 4g of gut health-boosting prebiotic fibre, with each drink, helping to boost gut health. (One a day is what’s ‘prescribed’, NB.) Prebiotics are non-digestible fibres that feed the good bacteria in your gut — as Good Kynd explain, ‘think of them as nourishment for your gut garden. The food that keeps the gut diverse and thriving.’ (Good Kynd was founded by two former accountants turned entrepreneurs, NB – Sophie Neall and Aiden Murray –and this is their debut launch.)
Unlike a lot of ‘functional’ drinks, Good Kynd Ice Chai Latte is not fizzy (and we like that). With an oat milk base that tastes really creamy, it’s not over-sweet (no added sugar), with the right, authentically chai-ish balance of spices. It’s a really good alternative to grabbing a coffee or even a cup of tea – the perfect ‘elevenses’ drink, actually. (Although apparently, some people are drinking it over ice in the evening.)
What we like is building a little ritual about it. There’s such a tendency to power through the day, rarely looking out of the window or stopping to smell the… well, scented narcissi, at the moment, in the garden. A can of this (recyclable, NB) gives the perfect excuse to pause, sip, think.
And do your tummy a little favour, at the same time.
£18.40 for 8 x 250ml cans – buy here (do also look out for Good Kynd in cafés, gyms, natural food stores etc., with a recommended price of £2)
