Beauty Bible Loves... Fine Scents Hand Creams

We are pretty obsessed with hand creams. Always have been. Eternally on the hunt for the perfect formula: nourishing, rich (not-too-rich that it doesn’t sink in fast), and gorgeously fragrant.

Jo discovered these, from Fine Scents, at a recent perfume launch for their fragrance Maze of Dreams at the Mayfair fragrance boutique Jovoy. And they’re perfect. Perfect!

With niacinamide, glycerine and beeswax, Fine Scents’ hand creams are terrific for barrier function, ideal after gardening (we are doing a LOT of that at the moment), and smell just heavenly.

Actually, you’ve a choice of scents, all named after London landmarks, in the city where founder Katerina Knight has made her home.

Turnagain Lane is your soft floral – veering towards wildflowers rather than opulent boquets, with so-fresh grapefruit and bergamot, tangles of roses, white musk and a touch of vanilla.

Hyde in the Park (play on words) is green and more aromatic, with figs and a marine note, blackcurrant and citrus, and a base of white musk and sandalwood.

Last but not least, Mayfair Affair is super-sophisticated yet just a little on the sweet side, swirling with rum, dried fruits, vanilla, caramel and tobacco. (Definitely one for the gourmand fragrance-lover – but perfect, if that’s your bag.)

While not a beauty steal, they’re not stupidly expensive, either. And we’d definitely call them better than ‘fine’.
