Eve Lom Travel Set

Many, many moons ago, superfacialist Eve Lom gave us a piece of skincare advice that is probably one of the best nuggets of beauty wisdom ever to come our way.

Back in the very early 90s, Jo was one of the first journalists to interview Eve – for Elle magazine – who was then working out of a clinic near The Wallace Collection. Eve introduced her to the muslin cloth, this (seemingly) revolutionary way to remove make-up – used in conjunction with her original cleansing balm (she also pioneered this cleanser style) – and it’s a technique we’ve stuck with ever since: the slightly rough texture of these washcloths removes any dead cells that are ready to come away, on a daily basis, leaving skin bright and clear, and allowing products to sink in without having to fight their way past cellular debris.

There is, alas, no muslin cloth in this fab travel kit from Eve Lom – but there’s a 20ml size of the Cleanser Balm (and you’ve probably got your own washcloth, if you’ve been following us for a while).

Inside a useful white skincare pouch, you’ll also find: Foaming Cream Cleanser (20ml), Rescue Mask (15ml) – gosh, we’d forgotten how much we love that – along with Moisture Cream (8ml), Time Retreat Radiance Essence (10ml) and two trial sizes of Radiance Repair Retinol Serum.

At £32 – it has a value of £50 – we think this is a bit of a steal, and definitely a fantastic intro to Eve Lom’s line-up.

She remains, and always will be, one of our true skincare heroes.
