Beauty Bible Loves... Emma Lewisham Supernatural Face Crème Riche
This is a dream of a skin cream. A dream! (And no, nobody’s paid us to write this review – we are the last website on planet earth that doesn’t have that sort of paid partnership relationship, which we’re immensely proud of.)
So, the honest truth: Emma Lewisham Super Natural Cream elevates that last-thing-at-night beauty ritual into a moment of absolute sensorial pleasure. We sort of imagine ourselves sitting at a dressing table in a silk negligée, applying this shortly before brushing our hair with a silver-backed hairbrush.
It is as rich as the name suggests. It has the most glorious, skin-melting texture that feels instantly plumping and nourishing, and as you massage it into skin, it almost becomes akin to a facial oil in texture, encouraging facial massage. And the smell is quite sublime: a sort of ‘Mummy’s handbag’ powdery scent, evoking roses and violets. Like a proper, old-fashioned face cream that your granny might have used, but with all sorts of contemporary skin deliciousness, including hyaluronic acid, murumuru seed butter, aloe leaf, argan oil and lemon balm extract.
And if you’re going ‘Emma Lewisham… who she?’, well, New Zealand founder Emma Lewisham launched her science-led, 100% natural, B Corp-certified skincare brand in 2019, with – impressively – all ingredients plant-derived or naturally occurring, NATRUE-certified, cruelty-free and vegan, with full farm-to-face traceability!
It's rare as hen’s teeth to find an all-natural cream with this level of dreamy total luxury. We’ll be saving (quite hard) for the refill, which is a few quid cheaper than the albeit pricy jar.
