Datsit Body Butter

So what do you do when your beloved teenage twin daughters suffer skin irritations and – surprisingly - very dry skin when they use big brand body moisturisers? Not only that, but your partner gets an allergic reaction if the products contain synthetic fragrances.  And they try lots of alternatives in vain…

Well, if you’re Steve Anyiwo, our old friend from Mail on Sunday days, you set about researching and developing your own handmade, 100% natural and 98% organic product. It took years, he says, but now Datsit Whipped Body Butter is gaining a big fan club both in this country and abroad.

One devotee said ‘Your cream is a blessing to my family’. Another reported that she was initially ‘really skeptical but this really sinks in to my dry skin. LOVE LOVE LOVE.’ And a US fan on her second order reports the product is ‘a lifesaver in Vegas where the air is so dry; my friends are now hooked too, fabulous product’

It’s taken years for Steve to come up with this very reasonably priced, ‘triple whipped’ body butter – whipped means light, fluffy, almost the texture of meringue (if a butter can be like a meringue…). It’s based on super-hydrating shea butter, with a range of emollient oils – coconut, sweet almond, castor, jojoba and avocado, with added vitamin E.

And it really does leave skin peachy-velvety. Most reviewers found the Datsit Body Butters sank in fairly quickly (on hands, it’s five minutes from application to typing) – although one friend preferred stroking on at bedtime.

There are five versions to choose from: Unscented, Citrus (possibly our fave), Floral, Fresh (citrus, floral, dash of peppermint) and Chocolate (fab for kids). Important to say that the scented ones are subtle – just a waft of fragrance here.
