Beauty Bible Loves... ALPHA-H Retinol Reboot Exfoliating Body Treatment

Body treatments are getting serious. And about time, too. There are all sorts of reasons to keep the skin below the vest-line healthy and radiant, even when it’s not necessarily on show.

What we’re seeing is the upgrading of body products so that their powers rival those of face creams and serums. Case in point: this luscious, not-quite-a-serum-not-quite-a-lotion from ALPHA-H, who have long excelled at exfoliation. (Their ALPHA-H Liquid Gold is a multi-Beauty Bible Award-winning exfoliator.)

Encapsulated retinol (1%), glycolic acid (8%) and lactic acid (2%) all feature, here, to ‘dissolve and resurface’ dead cells. It’s designed for pre-bedtime use, so that it can harness skin’s overnight healing rhythm, with the aim of revealing more even toned and smoother skin. (Note: while it may have a powerful blend of retinol and fruit acids in there, we’ve experienced no issues with sensitivity.)

Skin-plumping ingredients include watermelon seed oil, seabuckthorn oil and glycerine, for a texture that’s pleasing and plumping. It leaves skin lightly glistening, satiny and touch-me smooth, with a restored and strengthened barrier.

A serious reboot, indeed. (And worth removing that vest for.)
