Alice Hart-Davis's edited skincare bundles

Oh, this is such a clever idea – especially at the moment when it’s so hard to go into stores, and really solid advice (other than on this site, of course!) is in short supply.

Following the launch her brilliant new book The Tweakments Guide: Start with Skincare (which you can read about here), our beauty journalist colleague Alice Hart-Davis has now curated some skincare collections for specific skin challenges, based on her expert insights into products. They’re chosen so that you’re not doubling up, overloading skin or using too many highly active products, and address specific skin challenges from oily skin to acne, dry skin to lack of radiance, lines and wrinkles or winter skin.

The ‘bundles’ aren’t cheap. But if you don’t know your way around cosmeceuticals and are bamboozled by claims, they’re a really great way to find a full skincare regime that addresses your issues.

The problem with shopping in a store is that there aren’t skincare ‘personal shoppers’ who’ll steer you in the direction of products across many different ranges – consultants are only ever going to tell you about the brand they’re working for. This means it’s really hard to find truly independent advice, yet we know that in reality, no single skincare brand answers all a customer’s woes, and mixing and matching will often deliver the best results. Well, Alice now is – if you like – that independent beauty advisor. Hats off.
