Astonishingly, the label on this widely-TV-advertised soap stayed put through to the last sliver – in fact, it outlived the last sliver, seemingly Superglued to the bar itself (although its conception definitely pre-dates Superglue). We have to say that the brand dropped off our radar somewhere along the way, due to an affection for even posher soaps. (One of life’s great small pleasures.) But it’s firmly BACK with this range of body cleansers and exfolliators, in two really rather (surprisingly) lovely scents. It’s not the first multi-tasking balm we’ve written about, and probably won’t be the last, but we’re enjoying finding more and more tasks that this glass pot of balm can perform. They claim ‘3-in-1’: eye pencil, eyeshadow and eyeliner. Certainly, it multi-tasks as a smooshable, so-easy eyeshadow, or a stronger pencil that can be used for defining. 3-in-1 Eyes Multitasker is self-sharpening, and the finish you get is all down to how hard you press – a little more force for eyelining, a lighter touch for shading. (Can be blended with fingers, or a synthetic eyeshadow brush.) It lasts well – they promise 12 hours and we wouldn’t contradict. What a treat for the senses. If you don’t know them, Granado is a Brazilian brand which landed in the UK around three years ago, and has really made a colourful, fragrant splash in the world of fragrance and bodycare. There are now a couple of other Granado boutiques – at Ham Yard Hotel, and on Chelsea’s King’s Road – and they all offer the same immersive sensorial experience, alive with colour and scent. The products are good value – but we are especially taken right now with this Granado Exuberance Hand Cream Trio, featuring a really decent 50g (handbag-worthy) size of their luscious yet not greasy hand creams, in three different and exotic scents.
